Saturdays at 10:30am  --  Uptown Bicycles Bankers Hill Location

About the Saturday Ride

~No Spandex required
~Start with a Mimosa and/or Espresso
~We leave no riders behind
~Stops for drinks, food & pictures
~Designed for all rider levels
~Typically under 10 miles
This Saturday
30th Street Bikeway and Tiger!Tiger!

Distance:    ~ 11 Miles
 
Start: We will depart from Uptown Bicycles Bankers Hill Location. We meet at 10:30am and depart around 11am.  This week we will have a strict 10:45 last call.

Stops*: The site of the future 30th Street Bikeway🤞brought to you by BikeSD and Tiger!Tiger!

About the 30th Street Event: The 30th Street Pipeline project, which will replace water pipelines from Juniper Street to Polk Avenue in North Park, is currently underway and resurfacing presents an opportunity to add improved bike facilities through striping modifications.  There is upcoming City level meetings to discuss the possibility; and this weekend, BikeSD is creating a temporary lane to show us what it could mean! 

#NoSpandexSaturday will join other community members will ride their bicycles along 30th Street in North Park to show support for safer streets for all users. During the family-friendly ride, dozens will act as a human barrier protecting bike commuters from cars to make a bold statement that any new bikeway along 30th Street.  District 3 Councilmember Chris Ward will be among the riders.

Finish: Through University Heights, the Vermont street bridge and Hill Crest.

    *We are open to suggestions and itinerary changes along the way, and we may make a stop on the way through Point Loma.

About the Sunday Ride

Mt. Soledad and Cabrillo
 
Distance: ~ 43 Miles

Elevation: ~ 1,300 Feet 

 
Start: We will depart from Uptown Bicycles Bankers Hill Location at 8:30am.

Highlights: 
Mission Hills, Mt. Soledad (first), La Jolla Shores, PB, OB, Sunset Cliffs, Pt Loma, Sunset Cliffs, Cabrillo National Monument (because it's open), then head to Mt. Soledad.  

Finish: We will return pretty much the same route back.

Dos Llantas' 
#NoHandsWednesday

Wednesday Nights meet at 7:30pm & Depart at 8:00pm --  UptownBicycles Normal Heights Location

The Ride

Routes sometimes vary, but the ride typically goes through Normal Heights, University Heights, Hillcrest, down Presidio, around Fiesta Island and back to Blind Lady Ale House for a beer.  Checkout the Dos Llantas Facebook page for more information.
