About the Saturday Ride

  • No Spandex required
  • Helmets are required
  • Mimosa and/or Espresso
  • We leave no riders behind
  • We make stop for drinks, food & group pictures
  • Designed for all rider levels
  • Typically under 10 miles

This Saturday

We head to the harbor & The Carnitas Snack Shack, plus Pure Project!



Uptown Bicycles - Normal Heights

As always, we’ll meet at 10:30am. We’ll have coffee and beverages while we gather, and will depart the Normal Heights shop around 11:00am.


Distance: ~ 10 Miles


Highlights: We’ll ride through Normal Heights, City Heights, Hill Crest, Bankers Hill & Little Italy on our way to the Carnitas Snack Shack along the Harbor. After lunch we'll bike up 5th Avenue, & by the Bankers Hill shop, before a stop at Pure Project. Then we'll head back to Uptown Bicycles - Normal Heights.


Finish: We’ll finish the ride back at the Normal Heights shop, sometime around 4:30pm.


*We are open to suggestions and itinerary changes along the way

About the Sunday Ride

  • Explore new routes around the County

  • Take on challenging rides with a group

  • Leaves from the Uptown area

This Sunday

We'll do one of our old favorite rides to Otay Lakes and Back.


Distance: ~ 44 Miles


Elevation: ~ 1,385 Feet


Start: We will depart from Uptown Bicycles Bankers Hill Location at 8:30am.


Route: We'll head south along the bay then East along the Sweetwater River for a ways en route to Otay Lakes. Then back to the Bankers Hill Shop.
