About the Saturday Ride

  • No Spandex required
  • Helmets are required
  • Mimosa and/or Espresso
  • We leave no riders behind
  • We make stop for drinks, food & group pictures
  • Designed for all rider levels
  • Typically under 10 miles

This Saturday

This Saturday we will go to Burgers, Bait & Beer, a great place that sells exactly what it sounds like (plus more food options), right on the water near the Convention Center. While we’re down that way, we’ll go to Thorn Brewing in Bario Logan before returning back Uptown.


StartUptown Bicycles -  Normal Heights

As always, we’ll meet at 10:30am. We’ll have coffee and beverages while we gather, and will depart the Normal Heights shop around 11:00am.


Distance: ~ 10 Miles


Highlights: We’ll ride through Normal Heights, North Park & South Park, then we head to the harbor for lunch at Burgers, Bait & Beer. Then a stop at Thorn Brewing before heading back to the shop in Normal Heights.


Finish: We’ll finish the ride back at the Normal Heights shop, sometime around 4:30pm.

This Sunday

Out to Otay Lake


Distance: ~ 48 Miles


Elevation: ~ 1,421 Feet


Start: We will depart from Uptown Bicycles Bankers Hill Location at 8:30am.


Route: This Sunday we ride out to Otay Lake. We’ll do a few different climbs on the way to the South end of Otay Lake. Then back through Otay Ranch and along the water in Chula Vista.
